  1. Just try to get his NAME or PHONE NUMBER!! Won't happen. He, She, It is a phoney! Don't fall for sending deposit money to a "ebay Vehicle Purchase Protection Program" no such animal. Forget it- SCAM, SCAM-
  2. I dunno $5000, needs a LOT more $$$,not to mention time, energy put into it. I suppose it'd be nice for a driver??? I guess if I'm gonna put that much umph into a project, I'd rather start with a conv. and maybe break even $$$$ wise (not labor)in the end.
  3. Did the transmission from a 1958 Buick come from the factory painted? Mine is a light blue. Its either painted or stained But its blue and looks like it came that way?? Anyone know
  4. WOW, fabulous sugestion! Direct pressure-right where it needs it! Sooo simple and I never thought of it. A stroke of genius! Are you doing anything this Saturday???? Just kidding (kindda)! Thanks a bunch.
  5. Tranny is okay, I towed the car a short distance in neutral, with no problems. Guess I'll let the Marvel Mystery Oil do it's work. Thanks for everyone's help.
  6. I am using a LOT of force. I put a homemade bracket on the crank harmonic balancer pulley(using 3 of the 5 holes to secure) and a drilled hole in the bracket to attach a come-a-long to try to get it to move. If I can move it a bit, I will go back and forth to get a full revolution. So far it looks like I could turn the car over but not the engine! I really do need help! Any more ideas?? I aim to get this engine going!
  7. I bought a 1958 Buick Super and it hasn't been started in over 5 years and the motor is stuck. Any ideas on how to free it up? Would it hurt to pour a couple of extra quarts of oil in it to lube everything up and then when free, drain out? I have Marvel Mystery oil in all cylinders for about a month, but no luck.
  8. I came across a 1958 Buick dynaflow transmission that has been rebuilt and never installed. I was wondering what engines and year cars it will fit. It was with a 364 cu. in. and I know it will fit the 401 cu. in. What about the 322 cu. in.?? I guess I'd like to know from what year car to what year car will it fit. Anybody got a clue?? What do you think it's worth??
