Number stamped on plate screwed to the differential is 29924. Has external contracting brakes- Appears to be same as one that is on a 24 Packard but axles shafts and brakes are not interchangeable. We have a broken set of gears and are trying to replace the differential.

I probably have what you need. Please send me an email with part numbers and discriptions to cschulze@centurytel.net

Hope you can post photos of the car with the trunk removed. It totally changes the look of the car. Simple to remove and fold the trunk rack up.

Very few components on a '54 Lincoln are vacuum operated. The wiper and washer system is the major one. Try looking at the wiper section of your shop manual. The other vacuum operated item is the vacuum advance on the distributor. I don't think you will find a master vacuum diagram, only diagrams for these components.
Yes, not much going on. I am trying to help an old friend's grandson. The cars is more than an hour away from me. He and his grandson were working on the car (fantastic condition) but my friend had been battling cancer and it came back with a vengeance and he passed away. Now the grandson is trying to finish what they had started. I know there are hoses going inside under the dash. I suspect these are heater controls. It has been more than 40 years since I worked on one of these cars.

Laughing Cayote, You posed a very interesting question . I am exploring the possibility of installing an electric fuel pump to fill the vacuum pump on my 1928 Dodge Senior. I need advice . Now , after reading all the comments I am a little more informed.
Careful! If you put an electric pump on your vacuum pump system, PLEASE use a push button and not a toggle switch! The push button will allow you to put enough fuel into the vacuum pump tank so you can start the engine. Push button, count to five and release. I dont want to hear about any fires because the electric pump overfilled the vacuum pump and gas went all over the engine!

I dont have anything in my manuals. Need to know where to start with a complete diagram for this 54 Capri four door.

Seems to be similar to some other makes. About 48" long "C" channel shape. Who has it?
-
This is the 48" long trim hinge that hold the top hood panel together. Similar to other makes.

Thanks for all the comments!

Is there a kit available to modify the buckets to sealed beam? Looks like these buckets are very close to 36 to 39 GM cars. Seems to me I should know the answer, but searching in all the windows of my brain, it seems they need cleaning.

First series Avanti has the white plastic lever. Kind of an elliptical shape. Anyone have a good one?

Are you a member of the RROC? Have you requested the file on the car?
Not a member but I have connections to members.

List of cars he once had? Any car number list? Does the family still have any of the cars? I'm looking at one that has been claimed to have been his at one time. Trying to verify that.

Here is a picture of the wrong cover that is one the right side
American LaFrance Radiator and Boyce motometer
in What is it?

This is the radiator I was after. I also have the Boyce MotoMeter on my desk. Makes a great paperweight. Now I am going to go ice up my shoulders!
FYI--- I set the MotoMeter on my 23 Buick just for the photos
