1. The headlights make the car look very, very mad -- like it's going to chase you down and beat you up, Christine-style!
2. The main problem I have with the New Yorker is alternators wearing out and the transmission self-destructing, and I've heard the latter is a Chrysler-based problem. Believe it or not, I plan on restoring the car. It'll take lots of work -- rechroming the grille, massive dent in the trunk (bought it that way) and rotted-off Landau top (also bought it that way, but it's really gotten worse).
3. Fits as in...it's a big moneypit? I know the things suck up gas like a vacuum cleaner, and don't even have fuel-injection, but...
4. With a TC specifically? What if I got like, a Camaro or something?
5. I have my doubts on nearly every model made from the mid-80's on, but you'd think Cadillac wouldn't stint...or am I wrong? Anyone know for certain if the Cadillac wood-trim is always/sometimes/never real wood?
6. I'm 19, and I drive currently a 1990 Chrysler New Yorker that's the biggest lemon in the western hemisphere. I'm a young guy (well, duh) and want a car that I didn't settle for (like the one I'm driving now) but which will set me off from the crowd. But the biggest thing about my next purchase of a car, which is coming soon, is: IT MUST BE RELIABLE! And if it's only halfway reliable, then I want a car that can be easily and relatively cheaply serviced. My other choice here is a 1986 (year I was born, w00t!) Grand Wagoneer. So? Is the TC reliable? Is it easy to fix?
