  1. I have a question I hope is not too mundane. I have to drive over a gravel road to get back and forth from my home. Consequently, the dash and seats get dusty and kind of gritty. Also, I live at high altitude so the sun is pretty strong. I know about using Leatherique but wonder if that should be used for frequent cleanings, i.e. every couple of weeks. Is there another product people suggest to keep the inside clean and supple? Thanks for the help.

  2. Please help!! I need to transport a Chrysler TC from Topeka, Ks to Gunnison, Co. Can anyone vouch for a reliable transport company they know about. I have been getting the run around from American Auto Relocators based in Virginia--they don't return my calls and I'm fed up with them. Thanks for the help.

  3. Thanks for the info. I found a ton of possibilities on the web, with an average price of about $650. According to their websites, all offer about the same level of service. So I guess I'll just pick one and keep my fingers crossed. Transport won't occur till mid-May--I'll post a follow-up and let people know the results.

  4. Hi Everyone,

I need to transport my TC from Topeka, Ks to Gunnison, Co. Price quotes are all over ranging from 500-800 for an open transport vehicle. Does anyone have personal experience with a company they would recommend? If not, any suggestions on picking a carrier? Thanks for the help.

  5. I am the proud owner of a 1990 red/ginger/ginger TC that had only 11,500 when purchased 2 years ago. I have only driven it another 1500 miles since then. Since we are both aging, I have decided to enjoy my TC on a more daily basis and stop worrying about dings and such. There are no major problems but I (having no mechanical skills) would appreciate some input on the following issues:

    1. Horn has no volume. What is best replacement or repair method?

    2. A/C seems ok. Do I need to consider changing to a non-freon system?

    3. ABS panel light is always on. I don't think system has ever been flushed. What should I do?

    4. Should radiator coolant be flushed yearly?

    5. Any ideas on upgrading radio/speakers or adding cd/mp3?

    6. Any other general suggestions?

Thanks in advance for your help. I have been a member since before purchase and always value the TC Club newsletter and the advice of the club members.

  6. I purchased a 1990 exotic red/ginger TC in summer of 2005. Only 11,500 miles at time of purchase and just hit 13,000 miles. I live in Topeka, Ks and would very much like to meet and share info with other TC owners from KC area. My schedule has prevented me from attending the California National meets, so I thought maybe others have the same problem and would enjoy meeting closer to home. Maybe we could get KC area people to agree on a Sunday date and all meet for lunch--who knows what events could grow out of that. Perhaps we could use collective influence to arrange for National meet to be located in more central location. Let me know what you think. Thanks

  7. I'm interested in purchasing a cockpit cover for my 90 TC and wondered if anyone has one for sale. I remember an old post or newletter article talking about covers at Costco but all I found there was the usual full car cover. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

  8. I would like to replace the non-cd radio in my 90 TC with a cd/radio unit. Would appreciate hearing what specific unit I need and ideas where to find one.

As an aside, I live in Topeka, Ks and would like to hear from other TC owners in the area and see if there is any interest in local get-togethers. I would hope there would be some TCs in the KC area. Let me know. Thanks.

  9. I'm going to bring my recently purchased 1990 TC(11.5K miles) back to Topeka, Kansas from Gunnison, Co. While considering the ride, I wondered if changing the original Michelin tires for newer radials will offer improved handling and comfort resulting in enhanced driving pleasure. I would appreciate comments on this change; please mention specific tires and sizes that you would suggest.

I would also like to know if there are any members in the Kansas or Missouri areas that would like to meet sometime and share our fun and stories about this great vehicle? Wouldn't it be great to plan a weekend get-together? Please let me know if interested. Thanks to all. Mark

  10. Having read about the multiple concerns with the ABS, I wonder what other owners think of just disabling the system. I'd appreciate hearing some pros and cons regarding that mechanical option. Thanks .

  11. Just brought home my 1990 red TC with ginger int,11,500miles and almost showroom condition. Antilock light came on and stayed on. Besides flushing the Teves brake system asap, what else should mechanic check? Any other advice on immediate maintenance by a new owner? Glad to be joining such a unique club. Thanks to Hemi, Larry and Karleen for all their help already.

  12. I'm considering purchase of a 90 TC with original tires. Will the tires need to be immediately replaced due to old age and possible rubber rot or is there a way to preserve them? Any special problems with that year model that I should evaluate? Thanks for all the help.
