Stock turbo has Garrett stamped on the turbo housing. Though some aftermarket ones use the garrett housing also. The turbo is connected to the passenger side header by a 3 bolt connection. As for the turbo. All 86 and 87 had them this way. 84 and 85 had them mounted by the intake manifold near the passenger side valve cover.
