  1. im taking the 3.8 out of my 87 gn. i have aftermarket headers.... both headers flow into the crossover pipe and then up to the turbo. when i pulled the headers off where the up pipe comes off the crossover and goes up and connets to the turbo it has a three bolt flange. is this stock? i thought that on the stock setup where the turbo "sits" on the pass manifold it has a 2 bolt flange. ill try to post pis in the next couple of days if knowone knows what the hell im talking bout. this setup was on the car when i bought it so i dont know if its a stock turbo or not. although it has boosted to a lil over 20 psi before. any info helps thx robert petrone 87 gn 72 skylark"350" 462/th400
  2. ok heres the deal. i have a set of headers on my 87 gn ( actually off cause i need to rebuild the 3.8) anyways, i was told from the original owner that they were kenne bell headers, and i think there is a reciept for them in the paperwork that he gave me. the drivers side one is normal, ( meaning that it flows down and into a crossover tube ) and the passenger side one flows down into the crossover tube also and then flows up into the turbo, across the turbo and into the downpipe. the stock manifolds had the turbo " sitting " on the manifold itself correct? well i was looking at a set from atr and they have the turbo sitting on the header also. but the are 849.00. wouldnt the way mine are routed disrupt the flow? i mean the car hauled a** before i spun a bearing, but the way that the atr ones look, they would flow much much better. i went to postons website and the have a set for 489.00 i think it said but there is no picture. i ordered a catalog from them but it was on backorder so i havent got it yet. does anyone have them on there car? or know where i can find a pic of them on the internet? there was a set of atr ones on ebay yesterday, but someone clicked buy it now and paid 450.00 for them. anything helps guys thanks buickbert 87 gn 72 skylark "350" 462cid/th400

  6. ok the oil drain tube on my friends gn has broke again. it broke about two years ago also. what could be causing it to break. both times it has broken right below the flange where it bolts to the turbo. we replaced it once and it was a pain in the @ so we want to know why it is doing this, is there a place that makes a better, stronger drain tube maybe a braided one or something. thanks robert

  9. i am going to be adding a dual 4bbl intake w/ a pair of edelbrock 600cfm manual choke carbs to my 455, my question is will a holley blue fuel pump ( i think it flows 90 gph ) be enough to feed these bad boys? thanks for the advice robert
  10. i am in the market for a dual 4bbl intake for a 455, doesnt have to be new but must be in good shape. please get back to me if there is one for sale or email me at twint66s@yahoomail.com thank you
  11. ok, its a 72 buick skylark, it has a 455 ( not original) the trans is still under warranty but its under warranty 300 miles away i live in tucson and it was rebuilt in prescott. i took it to a guy to look at it and he told me that the dist and the carb are both bad ( no he didnt try to sell me new ones) i believe him on the dist as it is a 76 vintage hei and has never been touched, but the carb is a year and a half old. what about the trans pan, when i put it on i had to put an extension on to lower the filter down, but when i put it on the filter wasnt sitting straight. thanks for the info, a little more would be a great help if there is any out there. robert petrone
  12. ok, i had the th400 rebuilt in my car, and there was a noise after about 65 miles, i pulled the trans and found the flexplate was not tightened so the bolts holes were egg shaped. i ordered a sfi approved one from ta ($$$$$) and put it in, at the same time i put a b&m deep trans pan on. now the cars strats fine and goes into gear fine but when i push the loud pedal it feels like the car is boggin bad, i mean it just barely goes, its pissing me off. i think that i might have put the filter in the trans wrong since there is an extention, and it isnt getting the correct amount of fliud to the right places. or is the flexplate too heavy, it weights like 4lbs over stock what do you guys think? please help
  13. i need a pair of stock 87 gn wheels email me at twint66s@yahoomail.com thanks
