Looking for new show to travel to with our antique Airstream trailer. I have never attended Rhinebeck. Is it similar in size and vendors to Hershey or is it much smaller?
I would appreciate your opinions. Thanks!

Want to buy: windshield frame for 1937 Dodge pick up truck. If it has glass, so much the better! Anything half way solid, rusty will do.

I have purchased six cars thru eBay over the past ten years. I always ask the seller for his phone number then call him and ask very specific and detailed questions about the car. I have always been able to tell a BSer from an honest guy.

We booked three nights at the Hershey Resorts campgrounds with our camper and the charge was $165. This includes hookups, wi-fi, etc. I think that's perfectly reasonable especially since we'll be so close to the show.

THAT makes sense! After adjusting as per the instructions, the engine runs as it should. Very happy with the results. Thanks to all!

I'm going and I can't wait. This is my favorite thing to do in the whole world!

Here are some tips on adjusting the carb. Also search on Dyke's Automobile and Gasoline Engine Encyclopedia, page 1
My carburetor, a Detroit Lubricator, is somewhat different but appears to operate pretty much the same. I followed the instructions shown here and got nice results. One thing confuses me however; isn't this adjustment really the same as just pulling the choke cable out to get an even idle?
Thanks BTW for your help!

Will give it a try. Thank you!

I find the prices for the golf cart rentals total robbery. I am using my own and am bring it from home ( I am handicapped). Show policy states that only electric carts are allowed. The problem here is the real risk of running out of charge. The promoters state that there are charging stations but ,as anyone with an electric cart knows, charging can take 6 hours or more. Their policy of banning gas powered golf carts is really unfair.

Recently resurrected a very solid, original '24 DB sedan. Car runs pretty well but only with the choke control pulled about 60% out. I have checked for vacuum leaks using carb spray around the intake and the carb with no success. The only noticeable speed up in rpm's when sprayed with carb fluid is around the heater (?) tube coming from the lower portion of the carb into the block. I notice that my carb seems to be missing a flange or cover which would surround the tube with the adjustable shutters and lay flat where the tube enters the block. Anyone out there had any experience with this car? Advice would be greatly appreciated..

Towing my 1954 Airstream from RI to Hershey (also bringing my wife and dog). We're staying at Hershey Park Campgrounds. This is the fourth time I have been to Hershey in twenty years. Nothing makes me happier!

GraniteBayBob,
I have the piece you need. It is still on a transmission I have. I will take it off if you still need it and check it's condition. I also have the throwout bearing. Let me know please,
Greg Biskey
I'd like to buy the part from you if it is still available.

Anyone out there had any experience with swapping a '20 Maxwell motor and trans for a later Chrysler one (26-27)?
-
I believe that Jay Astheimer in PA sells reproductions. He advertises in Hemmings under Chrysler Parts, "want to buy, 1924-30 Chrysler cars and parts. If you do reach him, tell him that Gary Nitkin in RI recommended him to you.
Just located his email; astheim@ptd.net
