What a great opportunity. Most of todays shows focus on hot rods and modifying some great vehicles of history. While I do appreciate some of the vehicles that these people and shows turn out, we have a big gap in the education through media on the value of the true classic vehicles. I think a show like this is needed to help make the preservation of true classics continue. I know when I first was able to get into the "hobby" of old cars, my first passion was for the hot rods because that is what you typically saw in magazines and television shows, but once I really thought about the hobby and what it meant I saw that the preservation and restoration of these vehicles was what I wanted to do. I have a 1929 nash special 6 that could use some attention, and maybe I will be the lucky recepient of a restoration. However it turns out it would be great for an AACA member to receive this "gift" and be able to share the progress with the rest of the members. And who knows, maybe we will see this beautiful restoration at a future meet!
