  1. Have you tried to pump fuel by moving the arm on the fuel pump? This will tell you if the cam pump lobe may be a problem. Also the rubber hose going to the pump may be soft and plugged up. Also, this same hose may have pin holes which let air in and therefore the pump can't suck the gas up the line. Jim Richards [color:\\"black\\"] [color:\\"black\\"]
  2. How is the cowl lacing attached to the metal body on a 1947 plymouth special deluxe? Are their metal clips or rubber clips? There are holes in the metal that go across the entire cowl. I would think then that some kind of a clip was used. thanks for any help. really appreciated Jim Richards jrichards@macslab.com [color:\\"black\\"]
  3. My 58 Special (41) requires very high pedal pressure to make the brakes work. I've been told the brake shoes are "too hard" so they have been replaced and the drums resurfaced with the same result - high pedal pressure. It takes most all of your force to lock the brakes up at 15 mph. I've tested the booster per the service manual which says put foot on pedal and start engine. If the pedal goes down a little the booster is working. It does this so I guess it is working? Any ideas? Thanks for the help, Jim Richards [color:\\"black\\"]
