  1. NO question... the format and content of the message clearly points to a scam.
  2. "R" for race..... I like that Gonna hava' get back to you onit.... As for other replies ( and this one )... Many thanks for quick feedback. WIll have to ask him just EXACTLY is he referring to... I sort of - kind of - remember him saying something along the line of "this particular trans....." and a reference to "tranny failure".. Will find out RcFOP .........................today the pass window motor and regulator came in... MANY THANKS, JIM !!
  3. The mechanic givng me a hand finalizing my '90 coupe offered the following advice. He says that I should only use the "OverDrive" setting on DRIVE when I am going at highway speeds ( over 45 mph ) and not on local streets. His reasoning has something to do with the transmission which he says is prone to damage if that overdrive setting is the only one used. I cannot find anything in the forum topics that relates to this. Anyone out there run across this advice before and what is the opinion of actual Reatta drivers ---- any problems ? Thanks RcFOP ..............Almost ready to take on Batavia
  4. AsI am towards the end of finishing up my latest addition ( '90 White Coupe ) I have been on ebay alot. If you have a '90 kit and it is complete AND in good condition with the signed sheet ( the signatures of the builders ) AND you happen to have the "name plate" section on the black leather cover with a metal plate with an actual name....................Set your reserve at no less than $150 With a little luck you can probably wind up with $175 to $200. The bidding on that kit was pretty active....... RcFOP Soon to be driving to Batavia with perhaps the first "fast and furious" look Reatta.. I say "look" as I cannot jack that v-6 to where I want it.
  5. I think I am learning alot going over the forum topics. This one really interests me as I have a diverse collection of older and newer(custom) cars and a motorcycle. My '90 Reatta coupe came from its original owner and the car was practically "showroom" new when purchased. ALL mechanical details and cosmetic details have been addressed and the car runs outrageously well ( although somewhat "slow" for my tastes. Since the car is white......I MUST do something and decided to go with the WIDE double body stripe from front to rear and over the roof in black with airbrushed checkered banner design on the sides. Most shows allow up to three "mods". I guess Buick does not. I live in the Hudson Valley region of NYS so I will attend the Batavia Event. I plan to have fun anyway and MIGHT even change the wheels by then. Already put a wood dash from a Riv' on.... Should leave me two more.. 7. Just purchased a mint '90 coupe with 79k. Immaculate in every aspect BUT ... need to know. Can anything be done with the v-6 engine and the auto trans to "beef up" the HP and performance ?
