If the shocks are still good I would fix the air system so you could inflate them manually if the compressor and leveling device are shot. The self leveling system was a great feature on the Toronados and Rivera. I might even have the parts to fix it. If I could find them. </div></div> I got the car three years ago with 112,000 miles and it's my daily driver. It's clocking now 177,000 miles. Since I got the car, I never heard air compressor working, but car felt tight on the road. Recently I feel it really jumpy at the rear end, so I took a closer look on a system. Level sensor is rusted out, compressor looks like out of operation long time ago, air shocks are still original, I suppose; at least front ones were original when I changed them. To repair the whole system will be cost around $1,500; I'd rather spend such money on other upgrades as brakes, new windshield, may be save some for the body work, than to put it all into new self-leveling system. I just found Stutmasters company, who claim, that they do have replacement for almost every car with air ride. I'll check them out, but I still believe, that there have to be a direct replacement with regular struts.
