I agree with Chris and would vote Kissel as well. If you enlarge the photo, the large square nameplate on the top of radiator appears to say Kissel

Thanks Tim for the info
I assume you need to remove the entire spring assy, or can you fit them one end at a time??

Has anyone replaced the front and rear leaf spring rubber cushion mounts on a 1930 Chrys 70 Roadster??
I was wondering whats involved in doing it as it's rather expensive for the rubber parts (Steele Rubber has a replacement set for approx $600.00)
Any info greatly appreciated
Thanks

Thanks for the heads up Marty
I will double check with rare parts to make sure what they are supplying is correct.

Thanks for the info Marty.
It appears that Rare Parts has the shackles and bushings I need. They said that a 1930 Chev used the same shackle casting as Plymouth for 28 thru 30 and are currently making a manf. run of shackle pins to fit the Plymouth. I'll let you know how things turn out.

Would you happen to have a couple doors (driver/passenger) that would fit a 1929 Desoto Roadster
Thanks

I need (1) ea hood latch for my 1923 Paige dual cowl phaeton. I'm sure other years around that time period would work.
Please PM or resond to q2jazz@sbcglobal.net
Thanks

He has patterns for cars back thru the teens. I purchased a top from him for my 1930 Chrysler 70 Roadster and was very pleased....knowledgable people, good quality, fair price.

Just want to thank you again for all your help....especially when Ray got lost on that unmarked desert road west of Promentory(sp) for several hours. You were the only one who actually knew where we were
John
By the way, Luke and our group are currently looking into an around the world adventure.

Actually the 100th year Great Race Centennial did happen ( NYC to San Francisco) and included Jeff Mahl, George Shuster's grandson. It involved an informal group of people who were strangers prior to the drive. We followed the original route as close as possible for the entire distance....it was a great trip!!
Go to www.longestautoracecent.com for more information.

Could you please contact me via my email q2jazz@sbcglobal.net regarding the Holsman's you are appraising, which I asssume are part of the Holsman family collection. My late father sold an unrestored Holsman to the family years ago and I was curious if they still had it.

Engine Knock
in Chrysler Products - General
Posted
I have a "37 DeSoto 6 with the same problem. It is more of a deep rattle knock and only at slow idle....it seems to disappear once the engine rpm increase's. The knock seemed to be coming from right under the oil pump area, so replaced the oil pump however, the knock is still there.
The car has great oil pressure, uses no oil, and runs very strong. No one has come up with a cure to date.
