  1. I just read an article in today's edition of the Allentown Morning Call (Road Warrior) that states it's a violation of the PA Vehicle Code to display an old official registration plate on the front of a vehicle. I assume this also applies to antique cars since there were no distinctions made.

I don't plan on removing my 1925 PA plate anytime soon !

  2. I need to find a wiper arm and blade to fit a cylindrical vacuum wiper motor (vintage 1925).

The diameter of the mounting shaft is approx. 1/4". The entire motor mounts outside the car.

What type of arm and blade do I need?

  3. FYI - there is a rear wheel puller up for sale on e-bay.

Check under "Dodge Bros" - item 4544933488.

I had one made a few months ago because I simply could not remove the rear wooden spoke wheels.

This could be a real find for someone in need.

    Good Luck

  4. I'm looking for information on a vacuum windshield wiper motor for a 1925 Dodge Brothers 2 door coach. This motor mounts outside the car directly in front of the driver and is housed entirely outside the car.

I am trying to identify exactly what the motor looked like in order to attempt to locate a replacement. I would appreciate any information you might have. I can't even locate a photograph/model # of this motor. Ironically, it is the only part missing on the car --- I even have it's mounting bracket. The mounting holes on the bracket for the motor are 5 1/2" apart.

I would appreciate any information you might be able to offer.

    Thanks and Best Regards!

This car has a Fisher body so parts might be interchangeable with old Chevy or Buick parts.I am trying to identify exactly what the motor looked like in order to attempt to locate a replacement. 7. Do yourself a favor and have a wheel puller fabricated.

I tried for months to remove the rear wheels on my 1925 DB.

Finally, I had a machine shop make me a puller - just provide them with the hubcap so they can match the threads.

It screws on to the hub. A nut is welded in the center --- off comes the wheel as you screw in the bolt.

    Good Luck.

  8. Please advise if the service brakes operate using the outer or inner brake lining on the rear wheels? Everything I read says that the service brakes should use the outer band and the emergency brakes the inner lining. My car is exactly the reverse. The emergency brake uses the outer band and the service brakes the inner drum.

If my car is incorrect, how do I switch them?

  9. The only part missing from my car is a windshield wiper motor. I understand that it is cylindrical in shape and is mounted directly in front of the driver (I have the mounting bracket). The body of my car was made by Fisher so there is a possibility that this wiper motor was also made for Chevy, Buick, etc.

I can't even locate a picture of this wiper motor. If someone is fortunate enough to have one of these motors, could you please take a photo of this unit so I can use it for reference?

    Thanks and Best Regards!

  10. I also have a 1925 Dodge - how did you manage to remove the gas gauge? I've been spraying mine for weeks with WD-40 but still can not remove it with a strap wrench. My gauge does not work and I suspect a float problem. There is a web site that sells Ford parts -- www.mikes-afordable.com that offers gas gauge parts but until I see what's inside my tank, I have no idea if the Ford parts can be used.

    Best Regards,
