  1. Hi everyone, I'm in search of a Sway Bar for a 1953 Chrysler Windsor Deluxe, or any that will fit that car. Does anyone have one or know where to find one? -Thanks, Tom
  2. Hi everyone, I'm looking for the part number of a DRIVER'S DOOR LATCH to a 1953 Chrysler Windsor Deluxe, to confirm that a latch will fit. I have the car in my shop right now (CRAMPED!!!), and I can't get the door open enough to check the number on my existing latch. Any crossover numbers would be great too. Thanks, Tom
  3. Thanks, I was thinking the same thing; I thought I'd check with you guys before I spent money. -Tom

    Sway Bar

Hi everyone, I just found that my sway bar is broken in two, right at one of the angles. Is it safe to weld this, or should I buy a new one?
  5. Hi everyone, I have a 1953 Chrysler Windsor Deluxe (265 Flathead-Six) that has 65,000 miles on it. I am planning on pulling the engine to replace seals and piston rings, and I'm wondering if I will need to ream the tops of the cylinders with that low of miles. If I do need to, will I be able to use standard size rings, or slightly oversized? Also, If there is anything you think I should know about pulling the engine/crankshaft, please let me know. Thanks, Tom
  6. Hi Frank, I need the actual latch mechanism, not the striker. I tried a 1950 chrysler latch, but the way the outside handle works the latch isn't the same. I probably need a 52,53,or 54 latch. Thanks, Tom
  7. Will the driver's door latch from a '55 Desoto fit a '53 Chrysler Windsor Deluxe? If not, where can I find a '53 latch? I already tried Andy Burnbaum. Thanks, Tom
  8. Thanks Frank. I guess I'll just leave it how it is. That's the best thing to do with an old car anyway. Thanks again, Tom
  9. Hi everyone, I have a 1953 Chrysler Windsor Deluxe, and I have been thinking about how nice an overdrive would be on it. Is is possible to put an overdrive on the M-6 tranny? Will I need a shorter driveshaft? I don't NEED an overdrive, but I figured it would be nicer on the engine. Thanks for any info. -Tom
  10. Hi everyone, I'm in need (or rather my car is in need) of a new latch on the driver's door. I am wondering what years will interchange with that latch. The car is a 1953 Chrysler Windsor Deluxe. Thanks, Tom
  11. Thanks Frank, Yes, I am the Engine-Fed '53. I got that torque converter fixed up just fine, thanks for the help on that. Have fun cruising this summer! -Tom
  12. Hi Frank, I have the Torque converter connected to an M-6 semi-auto tranny. I'm sitting at about 13 MPG right now. (Woo-Hoo!) Thanks for the info, I just wanted to make sure nothing was out of the ordinary. Thanks again, Tom.
  13. Hi there, I was wondering what gas mileage I should be getting with my 1953 Chrysler Windsor Deluxe. It has a 265ci L6. Thanks, Tom.
  14. Thanks for the Walker Number. Still looking for a MoPar number..... Thanks, Tom
  15. Hello, I'm looking for the MoPar part number for the muffler on a 1953 Chrysler Windsor Deluxe (6cyl). Also, what are the applications for #1532791 and #855631? Thanks in advance for any help. -Tom
