  1. AA Thanks for the email. Yes the car is still for sale. Attached is a photo of the interior. I have more photos of the roof repair in work. vsully
  2. Willow9: The Museum was in Chandler, Az. I do not know how long before 1964 this car was in AZ. but it has been here since then. vsully
  3. JB-ed Thanks for the reply. I was getting ready to trash it as no one seemed to know where is belonged. The piece of metal that it is attached to was covering the two access holes in the floor under the seat bottom. I have been told that these holes had seperate covers that fit into the "lip" of each hole. Don't know what they were made out of though. Wood or Metal ? ? Vsully
  4. Bill: Thanks to you also for your reply and information. However, I am still at a loss for information as to where this placard should be placed on the body of the car. I'M sure that it wasn't ment to be glued to a loose piece of metal as I have indicated in my original post. Any Ideas on that ? ? <img src="http://www.aaca.org/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> Vsully
  5. Pontiac59 Thanks for the reply. You are right about the first DB all steel car. My car was built in Aug 1922 as a 1923 model and was first titled as a 1922. Therefore it is a first year all steel body. If you care to go to Dodge Brothers Club forum and scroll down until you see "another hard question" in the subject. Open that one and the attachment there still will open. It must have gotten lost in this forum when the changeover took place. vsully
  6. I saw that post also. There were no replies and apparently it was removed. Guess someone didn't like the sound of it. The person who posted it was upset because he had no replies from "the club" .
  7. Roger.. thanks for the reply..Yes.. you describe the fabric top correctly. The roof fabric was in very bad shape and when it was trailered down to me, it all came off in the wind. Only had chicken wire and the head liner left. I am now in the process of trying to fabricate three wood "bows" to run from side to side, as that is what most upholsteres say I need so there is something to fasten the headliner to. Hope this is right. vince
  8. Just figured out how to post here. I have this posted on two other clubs BB's but have had no luck yet. Can you help ? ? Hi all: I'm trying to replace the roof fabric on my 22 DB. I have most of the wood done but have a question. The roof supports that are in my car are 1/4 in. dia. round steel rods. four going from side to side and one from front to rear down the center. Is this correct or should they be wood also ? ? Also when I removed the seat I found a sheet metal plate aprox 10 in by 35 in, fastened to the floor under the seat bottom. It has a ID plate attached that had been painted over. I removed the sheet metal to clean up the ID plate and found two access holes about 9in by 15 in. that appear to have had covers of their own at one time. If so were they wood or metal ? ? Oh yes the ID plate is from BUDD bodies in Phill. PA. and the last patent date is 1918. Any help will be appreciated. vcs

I can read but can't post. Thanks vsully

I put this on another Forum board but haven't had any response so thought that I would move it to here and hope for better luck. Hi all: I'm trying to replace the roof fabric on my 22 DB.
