I have a 55 Super 4 door. My rear door outer skin has a crack/rip about 4 inches long. What is the best way to repair this? Would using hot lead create a durable repair? Any help would be appreciated!

My 55 Super is leaving a good bit of black sediment on the ground under the exhaust pipe. It smokes a little upon start-up but otherwise is OK. What could the problem be? [color:\\"red\\"]
