Rob, Chiltons Manual will give you a broad overview regarding rebuilding your motor. A more specific book "Buick Performance Engines" by Steven L. Dove will give you information that you will want to have regarding your particular motor. Also, a book by Rick Voeglin "Engine Blueprinting" can be invaluable knowledge when trying to find a shop to do your work. Don't just let any old shop work on your motor. Find a shop that is familar with the Buick engines. You will also find loads of "free advice" at www.v8buick.com Good Luck!
