  1. Passenger side rear shot. I forgot to mention car is located in Denton, Texas (near DFW). I can arrange to bring the car to you if you are withing a few hundred miles. Please call or email if you are at all interested. Also, picture of car from 2004 Nationals: http://users.ev1.net/~bstoneberg/2004National/Award%20Winners_files/frame.htm
  2. Interior picture attached on 1st thread. Heres a side shot. NOTE These pictures are a few years old but car looks the same now as it did then. Not the best quality pictures but you get the idea. In the drivers side pictures its missing the R cap in the center of the wheel, they have been replaced Nick
  3. I am reluctantly placing my 1982 Buick Riviera up for sale. It was my grand mothers, my grand parents bought it brand new. I do not wish to sell but my mom cannot stand to have the car around any longer it reminds her of her mom too much so she has asked me to sell. I would like to sell to someone who is going to cherrish the car as much as I do. Its been babied its entire life (garage kept etc) and has been driven less than 3,000 miles a year since 1995 when my grand mother passed away. I have records on the car since it was new (everything from the window sticker, build sheet, oil changes, any maintance, even have a log of every gallon of gas it used (up until recently, I got alittle lazy on inputting it). Its won many local shows as well as placing silver in the 2004 Buick nationals in its class (it has one size too wide of tires on it, halogen head lights and a few other things I lost points for). Its a rare color, dark firemist silver, Ive never seen another one of the same color. It doesnt smoke or leak any oil. Has had a new transmission, new tires, new shocks, alignment, headliner, filler panels, catalytic converter, all new a/c system, etc all within the last two years and less than 3000 miles. has always passed inspection with flying colors, not even close on emissions. The car was repainted its original color a few years back, not perfect but very nice. Has the original vinyl top which is in excellent shape. All glass is in great shape, no chips or cracks. Underhood is mostly as it left the factory (save for normal maintance). Not greasy at all, could stand a few items to be painted but thats it. Its a 307/automatic car has 112,000 miles but people see it and swear it has 12,000 miles. Car is very nice and is nice to drive. Gets compliments anywhere it goes. If my mom didnt have such a problem seeing it I would not be selling. I really do not have any idea what the car is really worth I haven't seen any hard tops in this condition forsale so I have no idea what a fair price is. Ive done alot to it in the last two years and its a great driver (gets good mpg too 17-20), drive it anywhere. No dings or scratches very nice. Its always been garaged, no rust, etc. Im a ford technician so trust me Ive kept up with the maintance and anything done has been done correctly. Its not 100% perfect but it is one of the nicest ones around and I highly doubt you'll see another in this color, I never have. Email me at ls6stude@pwhome.com for pictures, I have alot Call 940 368 2818 if you're interested and would like to come look at the car. Thank you. Nick
  4. FOR SALE 1949 STUDEBAKER 2R10 I have a 1949 3/4ton truck for sale. It is in need of a total restoration but it is a good canidate for restoration, not a rust bucket. I have lots of extra parts to go with it. Asking $500 located in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Please contact Nick Tosie at: ls6stude@pwhome.com stude19502r10@hotmail.com Pictures are available. Thank you, Nick
  5. Hi! My 1982 Riviera seems to have a clunking/grinding sound (as if it is slipping) when it shifts at 35mpgh. It will not always do this if you accelerate slowly. It specifically does it when it is cold or if you really mash on the gas. The transmission was rebuilt less than 5,000 miles ago, but over 6 yrs ago, at a cost of $2500 so I'd rather not rebuild it unless that is the problem. One local shop said it was the drive chain slipping probably because it was stretched. He could rebuild it for $1500. Another local shop I talked to said it sounded like it was a transmission mount. Can someone point me to a shop that knows about these front wheel drive transmission near DFW Texas or possibly tell me whats up! I'm getting frustrated and need advice! Please help. Nick Tosie
  6. Ok cool! During judging at nationals would this be considered a "correct"/"original" part? Nick
  7. I need to replace the hood pad (insulation) on my 1982 Buick Rivera as the one corner's mounting hole is torn and it will not stay up. Where can I find a new one? Nick
  8. The model A I have been working on is a 1930. They always told me it's a Victoria but I think not as the back of the body curvs inward and has an exterior trunk (as in not part of the body). To my knowledge a victoria is slopped outward and has a trunk that is part of the body. Please correct me if I'm wrong and explain the differance between the 3 body styles. Nick
  9. Hello! I'm working on a 1931 Model A Victoria for a friend. The head gasket has corrosion around it and needs to be replaced due to his son poking at the gasket with a screw driver. I need to remove the distributor to get the head off BUT it won't come out. To remove it do you wiggle it back and forth like in v8/v6 applications (thats what I normally work on) or is it different? I alreadted removed the retaining bolt and have been soaking the base with penetrating oil in hopes of freeing it. While the car has sat for many years it is in nice shape so I assume it is just corroded or something like that. Any help would be appreciated! Thank you, Nick
  10. I would like to put some Buick "GS" type wheels on my '82 Rivera to use for driving duties and use the wire wheels for show. I am going to a swap meet this weekend so hopefully I can find a set for a reasonable price. My question is this: Will these wheels work on my Rivera since it is front wheel drive? What bolt pattern wheel do I need? Anything inparticular to look for? Thank you for the help. Nick
  11. Yes, getting the car ready for nationals this year is my goal. The car is "stock" only having the transmission rebuilt and the usual maintnace items replaced. Anyone know how big of a points deduction I will get for having replacement filler panels? Nick
  12. Will there be many changes, because if so would I want to wait for the new edition? Nick
  13. Thank you for the help! I found in on the passenderside under the back corner of the hood on the top of the firewall (cowl), the seal was hiding it from view. Thank you for the help, Nick
  14. I saw on the BCA website that there is a judging manual that we can purchase. Where/how can I purchase one? Nick
