car is jacked up on stands and still same problem. have tried swapping hubs but not having problem once pressure is bleed off.
-
replaced the steel lines with new ones after rear end was installed.

yes, rebuilt both rear wheel cylinders when i replace the drivers axle last week. have had passenger side apart twice to make sure. the brakes seat properly if I bleed the wheel cylinder.
-
Recently my right rear brake locked up stranding me on side of road.
i have replace everything from rubber line to shoes and springs. its still locks up and wont release until i bleed pressure off wheel cylinder, drivers side works perfect. do have a 0.002 worn spot on bottom edge of backing plate just on one side that I polished and the emergency cable is lubed and releases fine.
Any ideas?

Thanks, got it done with 2 floor jacks 2 sets of jack stands a C clamp and ratchet strap.
Now just need a shim for the axle taper as hub slides on and off easy and presses against backing plate.

I have the same edelbrock 2x2 intake with 2 stock jetted Lincoln carbs on my 48 convertible coupe. Been on there for 25 years with no problems. Mine runs 18 inches of vacuum. Do you have a vacuum line connected to vacuum advance on distrbutor?
Mine ran like you say yours is running until I hooked up the vacuum advance.

I had a brake problem and ended up mushrooming the end of my axle. I have a new/used one to replace it, need to know a safe way to get it out.
Already have hubs off.

Found a place called FCRC machine that will custom make king pins for your car. They make them for most older GM cars 141 with bushings.

Bought a set from Bobs buick and they are way to long can't get dust caps on, no grease gloves and they won't take them back.
So I'm looking for a new set that's the correct size. These old ones measure 5.655" length and 0.873 diameter but are worn.
tired of the death wobble.

Thank you.
have one old buick, 1932 66s

Picking up grandfathers overland soon, hasn't been driven in 5 years because starter ring gear is bad.
anyone here know what size and tooth count this car uses?
still starts with crank but just had back surgery and not going to try cranking it manually.

Thanks, have already removed the exhaust side of heat control, just need to get the intake side fixed.

Thank you Roger.

Looking for ways to fix the throttle vale section of the intake on my 32 66s intake, developed a major vacuum leak, pulled it apart to find a rust hole from inside the heat riser section. It about quarter inch wide and three quarter inch long.
thinking of filling it with epoxy after sand blasting inside. Or building a new piece out of plate and pipe, have never used it to heat carb here in California.
any other ideas?
