First off, Thank you! The address www.remotesunlimited.com, they were GREAT!!! I will spread the word. They supplied an image which shows the remote unit in the trunk attached to the under panel where the "rear window break light" is located. On a previous discussion board message, the Reatta remote details were explained in a more complete and correct manner. Once you purchase the number of remotes you need from Remotes Unlimited, Open the trunk and pull away the left wheel well carpet. You should see a purple line with a green "head" possibly taped to the well by masking tape. You will need a length of small wire (coated) to push into the green head. Turn the key to "on" position and attach the opposite end which is not connected to a grounded part of the car (I used a screw which was attache to the frame of the car). After you have done this, just follow the rest of Remotes Unlimited instructions and you will have 1,2,3 or more remotes ready for your Reatta. I almost purchased a remote on ebay until you directed me to Remotes Unlimited at www.remotesunlimited.com.
Thank you again! Gary <img src="http://www.aaca.org/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

I only sat in the car to start it up and open the hood release, I believe it was black interior. Gary

I spoke to the owner and he said he would accept $2900.00 for the car. Have you contacted him? Gary

A car lot in Newhall, California has a 1988 Red Reatta with Black interior for sale. They are asking $2,900 for the car. The VIN:1G4EC11C3JB900081, it has 104,000 miles. The seats need repair, the engine needs steaming and it appears to be a standard model with no frills. The car started up quickly and the screen control worked. It looks like it needs a little TLC. Possibly a car to fancy up? The address is: Railway Motors, 25104 San Fernando Rd., Newhall, CA 91321, 661-253-2277 Al Lombardi is the owner. The other person who answers the telephone is Larry. Al builds cars from the ground up and will answer any questions you have regarding the car and its condition. I thought I would spread the news. All the best, Gary

Is my only choice for a 2nd remote for my 1990 Reatta a factory Buick remote, or can I purchase an outside company's remote and program it for the car? Also, how can program the remote to match my car's information? Thank you, Gary
Replacing Weather Stripping
in Buick Reatta
Posted
I have a 1990 model and I want to replace the weather stripping for the 2 front windows. Is there a kit available outside of the dealer which you can suggest? Is the replacement job something I could do with a reasonable bit of work and success? Thank you for your suggestions. Gary
