I have a large number of U-Joint discs for all types of cars and trucks in the 1920s and 1930s that are hard. Is there a way to soften them up or are they junk or best case to be used for patterns. The pump fits 1929-34 Chevrolet car or truck, will not fit 1933-34 Standard. The number needed to ID is the that starts with the number 8 that is the casting number.

Thanks!!! for for the help, the Chilton books I have show Buick 1931 60, 80, 90 series uses a 662B could one be a replacement for the other?
