After reading an add on Derbygear.com where seller put in the add "Put the 455 in an hot rod and demo. derby the body", I just had to buy and try to save the car. Photo attached. The car is now located at my place here in Norway and I have had time to take a closer look at it. Luckily its rather complete. I have discovered that it needs a lot of body work due to rust and the rest of the car needs an complete rebuild. Due to the fact that its rather difficult to buy parts for Buick here in Norway, I'm asking you Buick gurus for help. What I need mainly now is rust free front fenders / inner fenders floor pans and tailgate door. Anyone have this parts cheap for sale (my pockets ain't full of money) or perhaps an parts car? We can use an address in NJ if you don't want to send the parts directly to Norway. Please respond to: buickowner@home.no

Hi Joel and thanks for the reply. Seems like I'm going to make a deal with Wheatbelt Antique Auto in OK regarding front fenders / inner fenders and the rear door. They only deal with used Buick parts. www.wheatbeltbuick.com But, after removing the floor mats I discovered some rust in the floor pans. Possible that the floor pans in your cars might be in good condition? The Estate Wagon is built on the LeSabre frame, so the floor pans should fit. And while your at the yard, I don't mind if you check the fenders also Thanks

A body is the muscle cars like Skylark, GS. B body is Wildcat/LeSabre and C body is Electra.

I'm waiting for my 70 Estate to arrive from the US and it will look great next to my 70 Electra conv. Previous owner was going to use the Estate for demolition derby, so I just HAD TO BUY IT! Driveable project that I'm going to work on for the next couple of years. Looking for rust free front fenders for it if someone just happens to have a pair available.

I buy parts from them now and then for my 1970 Electra's. I'm very pleased with them, honest and well packed packages.

Hi I heard about an Buick dealer in PA that has their own salvage yard with old parts cars. Perhaps old trade in cars that they didn't manage to sell? Anyone know about this dealer, contact info?? A friend of mine has been there an pulled some parts for his - 65 Wildcat but doesen't remember the name, only that it was somewhere in PA.

Thanks Bruce and Jim. Rare Parts in CA has rebuilt ones for $175 + $100 core and s/h. I replaced the complete front end on the conv., next is the 4dht.....

Regarding to my Auto-Lite catalog AC 46XL = AU-405. AU-405 fit's 60-63 Checker, 63-69 Chev/GMC truck, 59-64 Daimler, 54-77 Dodge (pass), 61-68 Dodge truck, 73-74 Renault and 74-79 Volkswagen. Sorry, no match on the Atlas plugs.

A friend of mine here in Norway is looking for an windshield wiper switch for her 1969 Electra conv. Perhaps same on earlier Buick's, GM cars, but not the same as on my 1970 Electra's.
