  1. Thanks for the help Al, I'll give them a call. Jim
  2. OK, Let me try this a different way. My wife won't give up her 99 Riviera. When she bought it (about 5 years ago) it wasn't in great shape and it hasn't gotten better. If I can't find one in good shape, I can always fix/restore hers. So, anyone have a 98 or 99 riv parts car? I need various Tan interior parts, sunroof motor, some electrical wiring (front ABS), HVAC control, CD Player, CV Joints, Transmission. Thanks Again, Jim
  3. Looking for a good low mileage 1999 Buick Riviera. Must have Moon Roof, Good Leather Interior/heated seats. Prefer Diamond White or Black. Thanks Jim
  4. Thanks for the info . . . I'm not really looking to replace the transmission because mine is such low mileage. After reading the posts, I probably will just try it myself. The seal kits are cheap, and if something is really wrong, I can always ship it out. Short of finding an old mechanic <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> , is there anything better than the 55 Buick service manual for troubleshooting? Thanks Again, Jim
  5. Oh come on, someone must have had a Dynaflow rebuilt in the past five years. If not every pre-64 Buick is doomed to die without any chance.
  6. The Dynaflow in the old 55 Century is slipping bad, and dumps fluid down the torque tube. I've pulled down Powerglides and Hydramatics, but the Dynaflow looks to be a bit out of the comfort zone. Can anyone recommend a rebuilder? I'm in North Dakota, but I can ship the transmission. Thanks, Jim
  7. I'll take it . . . do I make the check out to United Motors Garage and send to address listed? Thanks, Jim
  8. I'm looking for the fender extension to the mustach bar on the drivers side. It's the curved chrome part behind the bumper, bolted to the front fender. Mine has a crack. Thanks, Jim
  9. Hi, I need one too. I did a quick search on the Internet and found nothing useful. I did a switchboard.com search and found over 30 companies called Iowa Glass. I can call them all, but if you have more info it would be great. Maybe the city? Thanks
  10. You wouldn't know if the book is still in print? I would like to give the author their fair due . . . if possible. Thanks
  11. Thanks for the offer Albert. Do you happen to know if the rebuild info is significantly different than the '55 Buick shop manual? Maybe I'm being overly cautious about this, but after reading the dynaflow rebuild procedure in the shop manual, I decided that the transmission was significantly different than what I was used to. I really don't want to tear the thing down and find a problem that I can't fix or even properly identify. Maybe another information source would ease my mind.
  12. I'm torn between replacing the Dynaflow in my '55 Century with something else or just going through it. I've rebuilt TH350's and Powerglides in my day, but the Dynaflow seems out of my league (or at least experience). When I first bought my '55, I had planned to put in a 401 or 425 with a TH400 and a Ford rear-end, but the car is in great shape, and the more I look at it, the more I think is would be a shame to change it. Anyone know a good Dynaflow guy?
  13. Seller's description says parts are from a "Super" . . . That would mean that the fit 50-70 (Super/Roadmaster) and not 40-60 (Special/Century). Is the seller right?
  14. My Dad has a '59 sitting out on the farm (in Montana). I'm sure it's rust free, but I'm not sure how to cut them out and ship 'em. I'll be out there in a couple of weeks . . . drop me a note if you want me to take a look.
  15. How good are the tail light bezels (the chrome part) on your parts car?
