  14. i installed some in the back of my 64 convertible that i bought from jc whitney...they have a vintage chrome look, were cheap enough and came with hardware and instructions...the instructions were basicly the same method as my 64 4 dr that had origonal dealer installed rear belts...todd h

  16. i have a 64 wildcat which i have taken tha tach out many times... the best and easiest way for me was to remove the console or at least loosen it... first you need to remove 2 screws from rear storage comp...bottom.... then remove 1 screw from trash / front storage area just below / infront of shifter... remove shifter nob by un screwing.... then lift the console from the rear first... make sure the p brake is on as the shift lever may move ... if you can reach the tach it is attached with 2 nut and a bracket from the bottom... it is much easier to remove the entire console and flip over... make sure to unplug / screw groung/ lead wires ....hope this helps todd

  20. i have a 64 wildcat convertible that i have taken 95 % apart and finally after 3 years finished it. (i entered it in its first car show this weekend and took home a trophy. over the years i have bought a few parts from a 63 that worked but were not correct for the year by part number...most of the sheet metal is diff and the lights and grill are not the same some interior parts will fit but are not the same look /year correct..the dash is almost identical and fits both years...the wheels/rims are the same...thats all i know... i am sure someone with a 63 may know more... good luck todd
  21. hi, thanks for the replies....i entered my car in a local show this weekend , my first ever and took home an award....very cool....my car has the same set up with the spring etc and the base goes over the spare with a locknut to hold it in place... what i can't figure out is where to keep the cradle or load member and the tire iron...i got a fax showing it going with the base over the rim but the bolt is too short.... the tire iron seems to stay in place with the spring alongside the jack...thanks again todd
