  1. With only 1 bolt left in the manifold you might be able to rock the manifold back and forth and get it to free up. Kind of twist the manifold pivoting iy on the bolt.

Being shared with A-bodies makes them MUCH easier to find! While they are adaptable they are shaped to fit the floor differently.

  3. I have a friend that just sold a '85 Olds Delta 88 4dr air conditioned, power windows and seats, wire wheel covers and 70,000 miles. Was a very clean, 1 owner always garaged Texas car. He advertised locally asking 7,500 and sold quickly(less than a week of advertising) for 6,250 and had quite a few calls and lookers at the car with at least one early offer of 5,000.

  5. It will never be a show car, but it makes a good addition to my Buick

    collection.

    Don't sell your car short!

I went to a car show at a San Antonio Buick dealer and there was identical twin to your car on display! It was hands down the best 1988 SW there. grin.gif

  6. <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">Contrary to what most people think the 1966 Sfire did Not have the big valves that the 442 and Toro engines had...this can be checked in the factory manual where they show specs on the engines....The factory rated the 66 Sfire 425 at 375 HP...I believe the Sfire engines had a drill spot on a pad on the block left side front...looks like someone started to drill a hole there and stopped just as it made the beveled circle.....the Sfire 425's I have have this drill spot...The sfire had a slightly smaller dish in the piston than the regular 425's for a bit more compression. The sfire had a hotter cam than a regular 425 and could be cross referenced. </div></div>

Just broke out my '66 parts books and you are right! Thanks for the correction.

  7. Find a '69 or '70 model 88 or 98 with disc brakes and get the spindles, rotors, caliphers, power booster, master cylinder and metal lines. You'll be converting to a split master cylinder as opposed to the single one currently on your car.

Stay away from the '67-'68 parts as the were troublesome dual piston caliphers.

Keep in mind you will have to go with 15" wheels fit over the caliphers.

  8. The engine was painted red, should have an engine unit # stamped on the front of the right side head with NxxxxxS to ID as a 10.5 compression 370 rated horse power. Should have factory dual exhaust with a left exhaust manifold with the letter S cast in it. Also has larger intake valves.

A 66 Olds 442 TriCarb manifold will fit your car.
