Mercer: Washington actully was the driving force behind Mercer, and raced them also. When he went down with the ship, little was done with the car until Delling came on board to replace the archaic T-head design with an L-Head configuration and out went the great Finley Robertson Porter. And that gentleman, is the way it is (or was).
That car was on the New England Brass and Gas tour this summer. It is owned by Paul Quinn I believe who lives in Mass? He is a member of the Horseless Carriage Club of America. He put a sign on it to the effect that if this car is on a trailer, call the police because it has been stolen.<BR>JOhn
