  1. From every thing that I have read, The Landau was built on a 1953 Roadmaster chassis. This in my view would explain the 1953 serialized vin plate.

    Dave,

I`ve read several places that it has a 53 chassic...not so, it is a 1954 chassis and a 1953 drive train.

  2. I`ve been unable to verify when it went to NYC but it was used as an executive car.

A title was issued to GM on Dec 19 1958

Then assigned to Robert F Blair May 7 1958

RFB didn`t change the title until Feb 5 1963 and

probably sold the car at that time.

I`ve found another factory photo of it dated the same as the one Dave posted.

The tour ended in Chicago on May 2 54, I`m guessing the photos were taken ater returning to MI.

  4. "Uncle Bob (progoofoff): Pat the Girl says you need to stop diluting our resource pool or she will tell all about your rally/smoking philosophy. Are you coming on the Race this year? Missed you last year."

She Pat doesn`t need to tell everything she knows. That is my secret weapon for winning.

I`ve gotten too old to make the Race again.

  5. Sitting beside my car in the show field at CMS last Saturday, this guy ('B') walks up

and said his name was Earl but not

MrEarl but would like to meet MrEarl. It wasn`t long, Lamar showed up.

My post above has no value as a lot of others I read.

    BTW, P is Cadet blue.-"1" - don`t know.

  6. Ok guys,

    Here`s an up date.

The Landau was on display all week at the Auto Fair.

The `55 concept won AACA senior.

The Convertible did quite well with AACA first junior on Saturday.

On Sunday, won best of show at the Carolina Chapter BCA.

Also competing with all the best of show winners from all the local clubs, received !st runner up.

I caught Brian Depouli and Nick Seybold walking around.
