1. Greg,
Don't know how soon you need this stuff, but I'll be happy to talk with you about which parts I may have for your car. I have (3) 65 Sportwagons, and have been collecting parts to eventually fix my daily driver. So naturally I have some extra parts, but have found these cars to be quite complex, many parts relating to the cargo area are very difficult to locate.... and they all have the same problems due to the original "poor" design. You may email, but it’s probably a good idea to talk on the phone to be sure we are on the same page.

 2. Guy's, It was common place to just slap a hitch on the car in the 60's and 70's, didn’t need to have some big diesel powered SUV/TRUCK, Buick’s were known for there great strength/torque, a set of air shocks and a hitch and your were road worthy...The original owner of my 70 Stage 1 also owned a boat,,,so guess what?..my car still has the bolts and holes in the trunk and bumper...
Guy's, It was common place to just slap a hitch the car in the 60's and 70's, didn’t need to have some big diesel powered SUV/TRUCK, Buick’s were known for there great strength/torque, a set of air shocks and a hitch and your were road worthy...The original owner of my 70 Stage 1 also owned a boat,,,so guess what?..my car still has the bolts and holes in the trunk and bumper...
[ 03-25-2002: Message edited by: gbiggers ]

 3. Here in TN we would politely ask the guy who parked his car in front of your garage to give you access to the garage or to provide his phone or address so that he may be contacted when you need access...All this may require taking a day off of work to accomplish. This is an attempt to be civil and human.... If the guy still doesn’t understand his position and what he has at risk, he should be politely and privately informed of the next step...I wont go into the details, here, but well just say..."Let the games begin". I don't understand why, much to their own demise some folks insist on being asses!
What comes around goes around<big ole' mule grin>

 4. Do you have the Vin?
If your spending serious money, and you want a real Stage1,
I suggest you get it, then contact the Sloan Museum research department (They are Online). For a nominal fee they can document the car. They can absolutely verify weather the car, left the Buick factory with the Stage 1 option. BTW, if Sloan doesn’t have the information, they know who does. Have documented several Stage1 cars this way, its they only way to go!
Glen Biggers, GSCA, BCA member in TN.

 5. Anybody seen one of these…my 70 Stage 1 has a dark brown Sport Wheel, but my original paper work calls out for an "optional Rim Blow Wheel"....
I would really like to get one of these in hand for the future. Anybody out there who knows where I can get my greedy little hands on one, please gets with me...
I'll be happy to trade the "nice" sport wheel currently in my car for a similar nice Rim Blow Wheel. Glen

 6. I checked my 65 SportWagon(s) and it is as shown above (plate bolts directly to the bumper). Also have a 64 special 2dr sedan and it has the standard opening for the rear filler.
Which trim parts are you referring too? The plastic or the metal? I don't have a complete set but "may" have a few extra pieces. It took (3) cars for me to get a good complete set for the inside of my car. Glen

 7. Well now you got me thinking...while its is a fact that the bumpers are completely different...the wagon has a totally different contour in the rear, much more flat at the tailgate between the tail lights...but I don’t think my plate holder flips down...I have (3) 65's and will look at each of them? 8. This is the front emblem for the 67 Electra
Anybody out there need one?
Bought this one years ago for a project that never materialized. Think I paid $75, would take $100. Also still have a 67 Conv parts car for sale. Thanks Glen Biggers.

 9. Met this guy at a truckstop in middle TN., while hauling my car. His name is David Beard, he was looking for a 68 skylark hood and can be reached at either 931-682-0409 or 931-286-3087. Seamed like a nice kid, maybe this post will help. How's about it guys. Glen Biggers, GSCA, BCA, member in TN.

 10. Checked last night and found the following:
1964 300 2bl, 1965 300 2bl, 1965 300 4bl,
all have same part number (B 1358888)for the LH manifold. However, the number may actually be 1359888, or 1359688 for this manifold.
As Im sure you know its tough to tell a 9, 6, or an 8 as cast. Also, my 67 340 4bl has an entirly different number. Hope this helps, Glen
