  1. I know this is a long shot. I am searching for a car my old man, Ronald Davis used to have in West Hartford, Connecticut in 1968. I believe he was the second owner and purchased the vehicle from Grody Chevrolet which he remembered being 33 Raymond Road, West Hartford, Connecticut in 68. It was a 66 Chevelle SS396, lemon wood yellow, white convertible top, 4 on the floor, with front bucket seats. Shortly after he purchase it a valve spring failed and while it was being repaired at Grody Chevrolet it was taken for a joyride, subsequently the convertible top and motor were replaced due to damages sustained. Those are the only details I know for sure. It would have been sold by either his aunt Tia or Matilda Provost or mother Emily Davis in 1969 in West Hartford. If anyone knows of a Chevelle matching that description purchased in 1969 in West Hartford, Connecticut. I would be very curious to know. Without the VIN locating the vehicle doesn't seem likely. I'm also aware it may have been scrapped forty years ago. DMV didn't help much as the records weren't electronic back then and I have no idea what insurance company covered the car and the address of Grody Chevrolet is a parking garage now. If yall have any tips to tracking it down I would greatly appreciate it thank you for your time.
