  1. I am seeking information on upgrading the engine internals during the rebuild process on a 1925 model 11A engine. I know there are substitue parts to allow for the use of bearing shells in place of the poured babbit of the era. I would like to know where to find this information and any other modifications that may need to be done to the engine block or crankshaft during the upgrade process. Thank you all for your help. 2. Hello out there in Franklin land. I have been reading this old post from 2016 and have the same problem (wrist pin) on #2 cylinder. I am recently retired from a 55 year career as a heavy equipment mechanic so the project doesn’t concern me but I would love to discuss the finer points and any procedural tricks that have proven useful over the years. I have previously owned an 11A so am somewhat familiar with the engine but I never had any issues with that engine so this will be my first deep dive into the mechanics of the Franklin engine. Any and all help/advice would be greatly appreciated. Geoff Rogers mrfixit48@gmail.com
