  1. does anyone else have any insight of how the hydro-lectric cylinder attaches to the front seat? I do have the proper attachment to the floor. A picture would be nice. I may be missing a part?
  2. That is my understanding. The lever is there but it is not hooked to the mechanism for the hydraulic setup. It appears that maybe one of the cars had the hydraulic setup and the other was manual. I seem to have both sets between the two cars.
  3. I have 2 1949 Buick super convertibles. They came to me unassembled. One for parts and one to finish. I am trying to assemble the front Bench seat at this time. The seat adjusts via the hydraulic cylinder mounted underneath. A few questions: 1. Where and how does the hydraulic cylinder mount to the seat? Is there a cross beam of some sort? 2. Where is the power switch located for the seat? It looks similar to the window switches. 3. Is the lever on the left side of the seat still needed if I use the Hydraulics? If hooked up the lever releases the seat to adjust manually. It seems redundant to have the manual lever and a hydraulic switch to do the same thing. Any help or pictures would be appreciated. Thank you
  4. Ya I reached out to them for the boot liner. No one seems to have one of those either. I was able to salvage a rotten one off of my parts car to use as a template. My daughter is going to try to make me one out of awning canvas. we will see how it comes out.
  5. Dan, I am about 6 months away from the same issue. I am restoring a 49 and I will need a boot cover at some point. Neither my project or my parts car had one to go by. I will be following this topic to see if you find a solution. Thank you.
  6. ok just let me know what you find out
  7. I have the trim pieces for a 48 Super. Would they be the same as for the Roadmaster? Do you know the length?
  8. I bought a 1949 Buick Super project and it came with some 1948 parts that I wont need. I am open to reasonable offers. You will have to pay shipping from Syracuse NY. Hood lock with lever $150 Hood lock lever $50 Side trim (3 pieces) some clips are good, some clips are not $150 ( I have 2 sets of this) Trunk emblem (new in box) $75
  9. I may have a spare jar in my 49 parts car. You are welcome to reach out to me if you still need one.
  10. I Know these are available new and sold in sets, but I only need the driver side moulding. I was thinking that maybe someone purchased a set and only needed the passenger side moulding and has the driver side part just sitting around? Sometimes you get lucky. Anyways thanks for looking. Gary
