  1. Right right! I agree, just haven't gotten back out there in a couple days. Won't leave you hanging! 😂
  2. Been getting a lot of work done to the old fella, interior is apart right now, I am making new door panels, the ones in it were shot, and have re-sprung the seat. Next will be springs and shocks, and hopefully king pins.
  3. Hi. I have a 48 super convertible, I do not have the washer setup, but do have several parts for it. I would be interested in the washer bottles if still available. I am located in North West Indiana. Thanks for your time. I saw your earlier (very old) post that you had fenders, but I'm sure those are long gone? Thanks!
  4. Thanks for the advice, I'll do exactly that. I do have the old regulator which I thought was bad and we had replaced, and it's been on the car since the 70's and never had an issue, the problem with charging was the field wire was bad from the generator.
  5. I have, but being a new regulator, it is not the same inside as shown in the manual. I had a no charge situation, and found if I took some tension off the spring on the cut out relay, it did seem to work better.
  6. Thank you Bloo, I am second guessing myself on it now, as my dad also agrees with you.
  7. Hey everyone, question here on the Buick starting system. ( push the pedal to the floor to start). I am on my second voltage regulator that keep crapping out after a few miles. Open them up, and the points are too strong on the cut out relay, first one was sent back, and second is the same. These are 100 dollar plus USA made regulators. I am going a different route, with a power master six volt alternator that is internally regulated. So the voltage regulator will no longer be needed, although it will stay there for looks. What I am wondering... would that have any effect at all on the pedal starter? It's not something I'd like to remove as the car is stock. Has anyone done this or had any luck?
  8. Hi everyone, and thanks for the add. I am working on my Dads 1948 Buick Super convertible. Just a heads up for the upcoming questions, but wanted to introduce myself. Jason, and I'm in Northwest Indiana. Nice to be here!
