Measure from the outside of one wheel stud hole and the center of the other for a 5-lug layout. Measure from the center of one hole to the center of the opposing wheel stud hole for 6- and 8-lug layouts. Depending on the wheel manufacturer, you will either require this measurement in inches or millimeters. Regular road cars generally have wheels that are between 14 and 26 inch wheels in diameter, with newer, sportier, and more luxurious cars generally having the larger sizes.
