Your off-shore unit looks like it will serve the purpose it is intended for, but durability is probably questionable. I went with FlowKooler because I believe the required belt tension for the steering pump, that is nonadjustable, to work as designed is to much for the off-shore casting to withstand. I think a 5 impeller Chinese pump will cool almost or as well as the FlowKooler but I am hoping for better castings and quality control. Mitch

Hello all. I have apparently been "scrubbed" through an update. My old account shows as "guest mtn" when I look at old posts, and the forum will not find my email. I finally had the old CarQuest 5 impeller water pump die on me back in September. The housing around the main bearing cracked. I assume this is from the TIGHT steering pump pulley along with the heavy clutch fan. I ordered a FlowKooler replacement at the time and still have not received it (patiently waiting or maybe not so patiently WAITING) and just wanted some thoughts from those of you that have ran them. I also found the 3 impeller is all that is currently available from CarQuest right now soooo I haven't given in and just bought a Chinese replacement yet, should I? Ed, still owe ya a frosty beverage! Thanks. Mitch
