I suspect the vehicles in those photos are slightly later than WW1, or a second generation in WW1-motored ambulances. Fort Devens in Massachusetts has a museum dedicated to the Yankee Division and its service in France during WW1, and we saw this ambulance on display there a few years ago. Is it possible they are English or some other nationality?
