  1. Well, after a long series of messages with Jason, he demands that I send him $10,000, wait until the check clears and then I can come down and get the car. I don't think so. I offered to bring a cashier's check and exchange it for the car after I can inspect it. He says cashier's checks are not an honest way to do business. So I think I know what sort of person I'm dealing with. The good news is, the car is found, we know who has it including name and address. His neck will be out a mile if he gets rid of it now. So I still think all will be well, thanks to all of you and your work. Ken
  2. At least we have a name and location, and pictures of the guys house maybe. Next call Nye County Sheriff. Kem
  3. Maybe I screwed up. I responded to the ad asking him to call me to arrange returning the car. He immediately took down the post. I guess law enforcement is the next call. Ken
  4. Wow!!! That's it. The car had green wheels and an orange light under the right headlight when I took pictures of it in Hood River in 2015. The picture of Carl and the car in Vegas has orange wheels, and the orange light is gone. The seller's photos show the car covered in dust, which it would be after sitting in storage for several years. Thanks a lot. Now we'll see if the guy is an honest man. I've responded to the ad asking him to call me to arrange returning the car. We shall see. Ken
  5. Xander, Would you by any chance be able to pull up the link that you posted selling the car? I will use a subpoena to try to get it from Craigslist but that will take a while, and perhaps it was not even offered on Craigslist. Thanks. Ken
  6. Carl knew where the car was. Although I had asked him over the years to give someone a list of where his cars were, he never did that. So I don’t know if this is misappropriation, but it is certainly lack of information.
  7. I am asking for help locating my brother's 1927 Cadillac LaSalle. My brother, Carl Fielding, passed away on June 12. He had left the car in storage with an acquaintance in Las Vegas after the Cadillac Through the Years show in 2016. Unfortunately I never learned where the car was stored or who has it, and no record has been located to help find it. Searching his cell phones has so far been unproductive. Carl did not send text messages, and his "received" messages have not been informative. I don't have access to his email, and I have no idea if access would help. I will be getting more complete phone call records from AT&T to try to identify phone calls to or from the Las Vegas area, as the person with the car may not have a 702 area code. So far the few calls he made to 702 are unrelated to the storage. If anyone has any information on where the car is or who has it, or if you see his 1927 LaSalle, please let me know. 8. This is Carl's brother, Ken. Thank you, Mick, for allowing me to see the many ways that Carl touched people.
