Not sure these folk ae members here, but sure was great to see.. Wife and I had 5 great days, then some rain and then roads disappearing!!!

My friend asked me to see if I can ease the force needed to get out of 1st gear. I do not see how 2nd/3rd gears are even engaged. The 2/3 lever at column has a rod that goes in a 'groove' of the 1/R lever. Very weird. Wow. Any clues?? Car is driveable, I am reluctant to do anything since I do not see how it functions!! It fits my hood nicely, but I have no idea what it came from. I got this at a Carlisle event years ago, from a barrel of misc trim. Wish he had 2!! 3/4" wide and some 52" long. I now this is along shot here, but wanted to ask anyway. Thnx Tom in VA Thnx
