  1. Just found a Potter Mfg. Co. trunk and I am thinking about selling it. Appears never to have been used. In beautiful condition with Chrome corners, hinges, handle brackets and 2 latches with integrated locks. Dimensions: 18" high, 16.5" deep and 36.5" wide. Leather strap a nice, but slight dry. Wooden bottom is unbelievably clean with 4 holes drilled for mounting. Do not think this trunk was ever used. Some miner scratches and scuffing due to attic storage. Cleaned it up after pictures and it looks very, very nice. What's it worth.... you tell me. Any questions : 201-519-2206 Kevin I'm in northern NJ.
  2. I just purchased a Potter Mfg. Co trunk also. It is in incredible condition. It appears never to have been used. There is some minor scratching and scuffing on the exterior due to the storage in the attic. It is black with chrome corners, latches, handle brackets and hinges. The chrome is gorgeous! No rust or pitting. The latches each have integrated locks (no keys were included) The dimensions are 18" high, 16.5" deep, 36.5" wide. The leather handles are somewhat dry , but intact and usable. The wooden bottom is perfect with 4 drilled holes. This trunk does not appear to have even been mounted . It evidently was used for storage in the attic. Does anyone know what this trunk is worth in 2020? My wife does not have the same appreciation for such interesting "stuff". It looks even better than the pictures now that it has been cleaned and the chrome shined! I am located in Northern New Jersey. My cars are mainly later models. Running out of room.
  3. I'm a newbie , so be kind. Just purchased a Potter Manufacturing Company trunk which was in an attic and dusty , but apparently never used. It has some scuffs and a few scratches, but does not appear to have ever been mounted to any vehicle. Will clean up very nicely but not perfect. Chrome rounded corners, hinges and 2 latches with integrated key holes but no keys. Chrome is nice, but have not cleaned to confirm perfect. Leather handles are intact, but dry, with chrome brackets. Wooden bottom with 4 drilled holes is immaculate. Overall size is 18" high, 16.5" deep and 36.5" wide at base. What type of car would have used this trunk? It came from an MIT Automotive Engineer's estate. Any idea of value? My cars or later models from the 50's and 60's and I need some help. Thanks.
