  1. Hi All The head is, in fact, a Roof Model B 16-valve head. I was surprised to see that it's the same one I bought on ebay a year or so ago (rust and paint stains, broken rockers, valves, etc. are all the same). I've had the head serviced, with slightly larger intake valves and hard exhaust seats, by Valley Head service in Northridge, CA, and am building new rockers and stands with 1.6:1 rockers rather than the stock 1:1 ratio. The valve guides were severely worn, so they've been re-sleeved with k-line liners. I'm using the upper rockers for intakes and the lower rockers for exhausts to reduce the side loads (and wear) on the intake valve guides, and a Model A cam converted for model T use by Dan McEachern, and ground by Dimitri Elgin. The head must not have been used much in recent years; when I tore it down, the valves were all two-piece model t valves that had been ground down to 1 1/4" head diameter. Carl
