  1. It has a luggage rack, but I removed it because the mounting hardware was very poorly done.
  2. Spare is mounted on the rear. Not interested in trading, I do not have time to enjoy this car properly right now. It is in unusually good condition, but there are at least two other unrestored 35 Standards in the Vintage Chevrolet Club.......
  3. With some regret I have decided to find a new home for our 1935 Standard Coach. It has languished in our garage for almost 8 years now and I have only made time to drive it about 300 miles or less. Life keeps getting in the way. Car has the factory paint and upholstery in very good condition and the original fabric top that I have re-sealed and coated. Surface rust on frame and undercarriage but no real corrosion. Body wood is 100% solid. Black paint/black wire wheels. Original woodgraining in decent condition. Built at Baltimore assembly plant, July '35. the good: 55,000 mile survivor car with a known, documented history. owned by original buyers and their daughter in West Virginia until 2012. solid driving condition, tight steering and good brakes. two new tires and all new tubes in 2018. new battery in 2017. Oil pan dropped in 2017, 80 years of "pudding" and "pie crust" removed, main and rod bearings adjusted. Gas tank removed and cleaned out in 2016, sending unit rebuilt. Original jack & tool kit some new parts included- brake cable boots, gas filler grommet, driver's outside mirror. the bad: gas gauge still does not work, might just need a better ground connection. exhaust system is showing its age but has not gotten loud yet. we have driven it on the highway 55-60 mph and brakes were totally OK, but I have not had the drums off to inspect. wiring is all original and therefore getting crispy. we have NOT had any electrical issues, but you should consider installing a main fuse and a battery disconnect until you can install a complete new harness. gas pedal comes loose sometimes while driving. Accessories included in asking price: Deluxe radiator cap (what kind of bird is this?) Emergency brake accessory handle. Electric fan that mounts on steering column. Luggage rack that may or may not be genuine Chevrolet. Locking spare tire hubcap. this car needs a new owner to preserve it and DRIVE it. please email or phone for additional information and photos. greenwheels48@gmail.com (828) 713-3766 8am-8pm eastern time car is located in the Charlotte NC area. $14,500 , realistic offers considered. although we would prefer to sell the car outright, we may consider trading for a Model A Ford 4-door sedan in turn-key driving condition (or a running Model A doodlebug + cash difference).
