[Dynaflow Blow Back through Fill Tube in Reverse - Causes and Fixes?]

A friend was given his dad’s 56 Chevy equipped with a 235/6 and Powerglide. It would do the same thing. He drove it only occasionally and it puked fluid every time.
Not that this comment helps, it seems to be a common occurrence with the older automatics.

Good luck in your search. Have you tried to find it? Maybe you could do a vin search… idk. Privacy laws might prevent you from contacting the current or any prior owners.

Eastern Tennessee, not far from Knoxville. My wife and I have been here 3-1/2 years. Before that IL, WI, IL, KY and MO, in reverse order.  😃

Did I not ask my question correctly? I mentioned in another thread that I am interested in doing a repower of an old Chevy pickup with a Buick 8. I’m thinking the larger displacement 320 would be better but I want the advantages of the 53-later Dynaflow.  Thanks!

Infrequent contributor here. Hypothetically speaking, if I have a 1952 320 from a Roadmaster, can I mate it to a 1953 Twin-Turbine Dynaflow from a Special?

Or mate it to any twin-turbine trans?

This tag is on a 1937 2-door sedan. I suppose the 44 indicates 40 series (Special).  What about the 11?

Not terrible.  It’s hard to make curves with square edges.

I have not actually bought it yet… but have seen pictures.  It’s a mostly original car.  Still has a 235, Powerglide and 6 volt battery.  Repaint sometime in the past, but still has original interior that needs work. Some trim and spare parts in trunk.   And currently not running…. But for sale at a good price.  Please give me your impressions and advice. Thanks!

Cool 53 Special.  My folks had a 53 Special 4-door w Dynaflow for a few years when I was a kid (age 8-11).  I have loved 53 Buicks ever since.  Have fun with it.
