  1. I have issue with how close you have to be to use this "extinguisher". The example video is a good example of this. The user is right in the smoke inhaling all sorts of toxins and in most fires the heat would make this a useless option. This is the benefit of a dry chemical extinguisher vs a CO2 extinguisher.

  2. I've tried the search feature and looked through the AACA website and couldn't find anything so figured I would just ask. I'm sure one of you helpful folks can answer my questions. I have never attended an AACA show but would like to start. Unfortunately I live in British Columbia so it's a long haul to events. From what i have learned you start in Junior then progress to Senior and Grand National? Is there 1st 2nd 3rd type awards or is it based on points only so not competing against other cars. For example there could be 3 "gold" level cars if they have the points for that award.

  3. I lost a wheel this summer while hauling. Luckily I saw it come off and it didn't hit anything. I carry 2 spares but never thought to bring lug nuts! (I do now!) Found 1 lug on the highway near where I lost the wheel and robbed one from each of the remaining 3 wheels. After an hour I found the wheel in a tick filled swamp. Not a mark on the rim or tire! No damage to the new trailer other than a tweak in the fender. I checked torque before I left but obviously it and a few others worked loose. re-torque daily is highly recommended now!

  4. Oh, and another "tip" is get some pool noodles and slice them open along one side to the hollow center. Slide them over the ramp cables when loading and unloading so if the door moves or a cable gets slack it the noodle that touches the paint and not the cables! I use neon green so people don't walk into cables or can see the door is down. I even bring a couple of traffic cones to mark the corners of the door so nobody drives into it and usually place them behind the rig so stupid people don't do things like this :(

  5. I've heard some of the wireless cameras can be a little sketchy. I drive past anything I'm backing into and get out a lot....lol. I keep my spares in the bed of the truck as I try to have nothing in the trailer but the car. I don't want something bouncing around in there for several 100 miles before I notice. The tongue weight is better than having the trailer tail heavy, that will get you swaying a lot. I also highly recommend spare lugnuts, if you lose them you're SOL! Have you got one of these trailer wheel ramps yet?Makes changing a flat really easy not having to jack everything up!

AMXDreamer -- Where do you get "fuel companies are gouging us on costs?" I don't know where you are, but here in Texas I'm currently paying $2.39 per gallon for regular. If you back out the general inflation rate, that equals 31 cents in mid-1966 dollars. Which is pretty much what I was paying back then while commuting to college. Sometimes 27 cents, sometimes 33 cents.

I'm up in British Columbia on the west coast of Canada. Filled up the AMX the other night with premium at 1.629/L Filled up the F350 today with diesel at 1.339/L
