Isn't that the same scenario on most restorations???? More in them than they can ever get out of them. That's not how it works

If any 72 LeSabre coupe is worth the money, this one is. The 455 in it is desirable plus they added a lot of the heavy duty and performance options when ordered. Oddly optioned out certainly a customer order. Impressive example

Obviously it leaks lol for him to tell you that. Both the coupes I have had leaked around the back window near the top, ran down the side post and under the seat. If the rubber molding is hard or not in good shape or if the window is not aligned well you can get some in at the top of the door windows as well. If you some of your controls don't work for electronics, there is a good change your connections under the seats need redone. One of the first things I check on them

Salt air and it gets driven to the beach(not on the beach) , this is my 90 Coupe which is a driver and it has been a coast car all it's life, overall the rest of the underside is pretty clean though

As usual the easy stuff ends up being the hardest, Got to the sensor bracket and went to remove it and the positioning tab broke off, took me an hour to get that little piece off lol. Tried tapping it, using vice grips to wiggle it, finally used a socket and socket extension to tap that little tab with a hammer and got it to move, then tapped a socket on it and was able to loosen it enough to work it off. BTW, using the starter as suggested to loosen the bolt holding on the harmonic balancer pulley worked flawlessly.

The 88 Reatta doesn't have that little shock either. On later models, you need to remove the nut on the lower end of the shock and the three bolts that attach the bracket itself to the engine. After that just the big bolt in the center of the balancer.

With Wildcat centers since there were no Riviera wheel caps?
