  1. Im not too sure but thank you for the codes, and although they give me a general sense of what's wrong, how am I supposed to know what exactly is wrong? And what do I need to look for to find this short?
  2. Fusible links look good, it's almost impossible to get the car to hold any charge. I checked the grounds under the hood as well. I also did some surveying of the wires and all look good. I did pull codes though. E041c E042c E041H E042H B113c B119c B420c R026H R061C
  3. How do I test the CPS?
  4. Okay, I will do all of that, thank you!
  5. Okay, I'll check those out, so if the link is black, im guess the appearance of it being burnt kind of runs on the red wire it is linked to? I am very familiar with that bundle so I will check all through them and trace the starter wire although I didn't have any problems from the starter wire grounding other than my cluster. But it didn't give me no issues of starting and what not, I just parked it the other day and the next morning it wouldn't start and the battery is beginning to drain quickly as soon as it gets a charge put on it.
  6. Hey guys, I have a 1990 Buick reatta, which I've spent lot sir hours working on in the past but basically it had transmission problems so a friend and I replaced the transmission. Although, not the best (considering we got the tranny from a pull a part) but it's way better than it was. So I had a functioning cluster with the fuel and voltmeter and all of that working. Well one day I made a trip and had the car parked and idling and it just shut off. So after a bunch of looking and poking around, I found a power steering line had grounded out the main starter wire. Which once found it made many functions stop working like cruise control, every thing on the cluster except the temperature, speedo, and tach. So I decided to replace the bcm a couple weeks ago to fix this issue, and nothing different happened, well about 2 days ago I went out in the morning to start the car and it tries to start but won't fire and the battery is draining very quickly. So I replaced the ignition module and nothing different, and it has plenty of gas. So I dont know if I need to put the old bcm back in or not and I've noticed the relays don't click on and off when I connect and disconnect the battery and all my grounds have been cleaned under the hood. Any help would be great.
