  1. At 77 I feel your pain and agree with your suggestion. But after attending many shows without seating, I threw in the towel and bought a portable seat that is light to carry but works. I provide a web site here as an example but there are many good versions from many vendors. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002VWJYT8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  2. I am moving to Richmond this Spring. I would appreciate any suggestions re a general repair facility for a '41 Lincoln Continental. Thanks so much!
  3. Just an update. The 4UCam works fine. No static and a clear picture on a ipad. This seems to be a good solution for those who want a closed rear convertible window.
  4. I think I found a solution for those who do not want to hard wire. I just picked up a 4UCam portable wi-fi mini camera. Operates on a rechargeable battery for a claimed 3 hours. Sends a blue tooth signal to my phone or I pad. Seems to have a strong magnet and is not affected by the engine operation. It is around $100. Has a plastic cover for rain. Wish it had a remote on/off switch. I have not had it long enough to fully endorse it. Will report back if the magnet turns out not to be sufficiently strong or the product is not durable. It provides great visibility now that my top is up for the Fall.
  5. Wanted to put a plug in for Fipps & Sons Garage on Johns Island, SC near Charleston. I just acquired a '41 Continental and he has provided great service and has been very patient in explaining issues to me. There is nothing they cannot handle except for body work and they are careful to keep the car inside while working on it even if that means tying up a bay for a week waiting on a part. Ask for Oral, one of the owners. 843 559 0711.
  6. Thanks to all of you who kindly offered your suggestions. I have checked the obvious without a fruitful suggestions so she is headed to my mechanic next week along with copies of your responses. Nice to know I am not in the alone! Russ
  7. My '41 Lincoln Continental starts right up when cold. However when it has warmed up, the engine cranks very slowly or not at all. Any ideas? Wrap starter motor with heat shield or.....? Thanks so much for your help! I am a newby and everything is a challenge but I am learning!
  8. I would appreciate hearing recommendations for a 6 V battery for my 41 Continental. Thank you very much!
  9. I just got my first '41 Continental Cabriolet. Of course anyone who has driven one knows that with the top up, there is almost no rear visibility. Have any readers had experience identifying a rear camera and dash board screen/iphone connection that would address the problem without altering the car? Given the current technology it seems like a rational thing to do. A picture of my new beauty is attached. Thanks so much for your help!
