  1. Barney and others

I found this Reatta in a salvage yard in MN.  Vin # (no glasses, so hope it is right):  1G4EC13C41B906343.  It is black/tan with a sunroof.  Looks to have been sold when new by Miller Buick/Ford in Fairfield, CT.  I bought the owner's manual, but it is not complete.  Has the manual though, plus a plastic key holder that I have never seen before.  Also, in the console was a styrofoam type thing that appears to be a cassette holder.  Never seen one of those before either.  It is formed to fit, so looks to be a GM part.  Not sure.  Bought the floor mats though not great (faded).  Will know better when cleaned up.  Not sure how long this car was in MN, but it appears to be rust-free.  I think it had about 151K miles.  First time I have found a Reatta in a salvage yard.  Was hoping the steering wheel was nice...it wasn't.

  2. Hello

This '91 showed up on fb marketplace.  Has 58K miles and they want $18,998.  It is owned by a dealership--took it on trade for a Colorado.  I think it is a 2-owner.

I went and looked at it yesterday, but did not drive it.  Very nice car.

My purpose for posting is for discussion or if anyone from a distance would be interested.  Just fun to see one!

    Bye

  3. Hello--

I have my Reatta out now.  Each year this seems to happen, but is now a lot worse--the climate control buttons do not operate.  They can be pushed, but nothing changes.  Is the unit shot?  Or can it be repaired?

    Thank you!

  4. Hello

Has anyone compiled a list of what a complete owner's manual would consist of?

Of interest, I found a letter from Buick to the first owner (letter dated Dec 1990) in the owner's manual package.

Also found a postcard to mail in for an engraved portfolio name tag.  Wonder if I can still get one...haha.

There is quite a bit of literature in there.

    Thanks!

  5. Hello Reatta friends

I stumbled upon this.  It is custom-made for Allantes, but could possibly work for Reattas--about an inch too wide.  Comes in 4 colors.  Price is $59.

I sent a message to them about making a Reatta drink holder, but it did not sound like it was in their plans.  So, maybe this could be made to fit decently.

    Looks great in the Allante.

  6. Wow, thanks for all that information.  I bought 2 pair of adjusting parts off ebay.  Will wait for those to arrive.  I appreciate all the time and effort that you have put forth to help me!!

  7. Hi Barney

Afterwards, I went to a body shop.  We looked at the housing.  They called a parts source, and the source indicated we needed the entire unit, housing and all.  But, it sounds a whole lot more simple than that.  Can't really see too well.  We thought that maybe the housing had a metal bolt, and so would need the entire part.  Will take off the black housing and have a look.

Thanks very much for your assistance, Barney!

  8. Hello

Ever since I have owned my Reatta. the headlights to not aim properly.  I brought this in to the local dealership, but the screws just turn, and do make any change in the position.  Are the adjusting parts available somewhere, and is this a large project to fix?

    Thank you!
