[Fuel and Temp Gauge Help]

How do you remove the line at the top of the fuel gauge? And also how do you disconnect the temp gauge, engine or gauge side?

Thank you both for your responses. It would be great if they have key ways. I am not. Sure at this point as I have not gotten the parts yet. As for the picture taking, I will do that, but I am not positive at least one of the sets, is in the proper position. One of the gears is missing some teeth and its mate the teeth are stripped. Again if they have key ways this would be great. Do either of you, recommend removing the column for this work or can they be exchanged while the column is still installed?

Hello all. I am new to the restoration process. I see that some of the gears at the bottom of the streering column are warn and broken. I am not sure they are in the correct position either. I am going to purchase a set form Bob's but I cannot find anything on how to remove, install and locate them correctly. Can anyone help or point me to litature to do this job?

Ok I have a service manual, Specificictions and Adjustments, but it does not talk about the replacement of the gears. Any other suggestions on where to find these details?

Hi, I am going to replace the gears at the bottom of my steering column. I am not sure these gears are in the proper location now. Can anyone tell me how to make sure they are positioned correctly after removal?
