Is that a dirt floor? First time I've seen a museum with dirt floors. The undersides of those vehicles must be all scale & rust. The top sides look great.
No scale or rust- dry as a bone- recycled asphalt millings

I read the post about museums and thought I’d share one that is near and dear to my heart, and is where we keep our personal vehicles when not using them. Set up as a
prairie village, the museum represents a small town and consists of over 50 buildings including several display buildings. Some of these vehicles are privately owned, many are part of the museum owned collection. None are for sale. 48 Dodge 1 ton

Really nice. Loaded with options.
I noticed Canada charged a $100 excise tax for the air conditioning (on top of the dealer's $847).
Story I heard was the dealer knew it was the last year of the big, RWD 88’s- so he ordered it loaded up ( without factory CB) .

This 85 Olds was traded in a couple weeks ago to the dealer I work at. Only 5660km since new-documented- approx 3500 original miles on the odometer. It was ordered in 85 by the owner of the Olds dealership to be kept for his personal collection. Still wears the original tires, everything just as it was delivered. It is well equipped as per the window sticker. They’re only original like this once. Generates lots of memories in the showroom. It’s for sale too- I think they want $20k (Canadian)

1929 Pontiac landaulette- belongs to a family friend. Wood is all replaced- driveline rebuilt. Needs finish body work, paint, interior and assembly, a very rare car, with a good chunk of the difficult stuff done already. Includes six optional wire wheels. Located in Moose Jaw, SK- priced at $5000 Cdn- factor in exchange that’s less than 4000USD. Contact Glenn at (306) 630-7524

Is it possible for each post to be numbered as they are in most other forums?
When a person new to the forum asks about a photo of a vehicle of a particular make & year, and a 'regular' remembers one, and finds it amongst those 488 pages (and counting), it is difficult to refer someone to it without a posting number. Sure, one can state the page number, but there are 40 posts per page.
Craig
I know what I would do if I needed to recall info like that- i just ask my friend Craig- he always remembers.

In "Northern Who's Who" (1916) Richard Loney is listed as First Vice-President of the Canadian Standard Automobile and Tractor Co. Ltd. along with a number of other business interests. This might suggest that the company existed, at least on paper, into the war years However, although the book was published in 1916 I don't see any references past 1912 for anyone so the information may have been quite dated by the time the book was published.
Peter
Not surprising Loney was involved- he had his hand in lots of business in Moose Jaw. In fact, when Brown was fired as trade representative, Loney hired him to work for him. Does Northern who’s who list any other Canadian standard execs? Are Robson or Joe Peters listed?

And back to the Moose Jaw Standard.
For Fargoguy. And chance for more about the story on the lone survivor car? Its the stories behind the survivors that make them so interesting.
Details on the survivor car are sparse right now. We know it was found on a rock pile on a farm somewhere and pieces were scattered. I have reached out and hope to be able to see it this spring or summer sometime. The fellow who found and saved it recently passed, so I will see what the family has for info.

Nice, I hadn't seen that body. Do you think the hood from a 4 cylinder Cadillac would be long enough for the six cylinder Standard?
No idea on hood length. What I do believe is that hood fitment was an issue on the constructed cars.

Fargoguy, have you talked to Bob Jones? He was located not far south of Moose Jaw.
Bob was a good friend- unfortunately he passed away last fall.
