Valve oiling! `20 Special 6. I am not getting enough oil to the valves. Am also trying to figure out how the valves are oiling. Are they pressure oiled or ? I don`t find a drain hole in the chamber either.

I have a `20 touring. I need to finish the top. I have to locate the front hold downs complete. Would buy a pair, or if you could send pictures of them from all sides I might be able to make them. Please send measurements.

I appreciate all of the input. Keep em coming. Don`t worry about any hijacking. I have been doing Studes for 46 years and love all of the knowledge I can get. A question for Buffalowed. Where did the cracks show up? I have my pan off and would like to check the crank if I don`t have to pull it. Art.

Appreciate the info. In checking my book I note that between `29 and`34 there were 9 different rods used for the 8 cyl. engines with poured rods. I will measure my rod and see if it is the same. Thanks, Art.

Ah, and the debate goes on. In my engine and my two spare blocks the main bearings are inserts. One block is `31 and the other is `32. Thanks again for all of the info. Art.

Thanks for the info. Have talked to you before. My `31 appears to be OK at this time but was just planning ahead. I was about to call Dave so I will save the call. I do have some extra rods that work. Trying to get the old gal running again after getting it from a deceased member who owned it for 35 years. Found #8 rod gone so I thought I would ask. As far as shells I have two extra blocks with some main caps and rods. Guess I will hold onto them for any future needs. Thanks again for the info. Art. in Cal.

am restoring (and modifying) a 1931 commander. I need a rear bumper. Both parts as well as the pins. If anybody has one I would love to hear from you. Another thought I had, is anyone going to Hersey this fall? I would be willing to pay a finders fee if you can find me one
Art here. Do you need a straight bumper or split? A friend has a split bumper for sale.

At the end of the cross bar between the headlights there is a round cast piece that is inserted into the buckets. The cross bar goes into the hole in the center of the cast piece. The OD is 1 ". The inside is 3/4". The outside of the insert has 2 ears which holds it into the bucket. I need 1 for sure or 2 would be helpful. Art in Cal.

Art I can't help, however I was wondering do you have a 1926 transmission for a standard 6 with the hydraulic setup for the brake booster? Regards Wayne
Thanks for the return. I am sorry but I do not have the transmission that you need. I did own a `25 Special 6 that had one but it is long gone. Art.
