On my '29 Plymouth, the wiper is connected to the intake manifold. The vacuum tank is connected to the oil pump. This is correct set-up for Plymouth. frank

Rod,
My parts book shows Camshaft P/N 316391 is for 30-U, PA, PB. It seems you have a greater chance of finding one.
Good luck,
frank

Well, this brings back a memory. I drove my '29 Ply (1st car) to school starting in 1968. Although it was only in town and in Kansas, the winter was an adventure when it was below freezing and snowing. Thanks for a most interesting story. I had forgotten how much "fun" these cars are!

A fellow 29 owner had a friend of his mill one from aluminum. Also made a distributor base. Model A bearing retainer is close to Ply and could possibly be massaged to fit. You would need to measure as I have not.
good luck,

My condolences to the family of the young man and every Canadian. Worked on Vancouver Island in '76 and north of Vancouver in early '80s, Toronto later - great folks. Proud to be your neighbor. Listen to AIH at least once a week.

Congrats Trimacar! Wonderful story. Only had my Plymouth for 49+ years, thanks to my mom and dad keeping it in their garage for me. Mother's 67 Mustang sat outside even when new (now belongs to our son, but I have it in my garage during the summers)

My '29 Plymouth had the front end shake, but not as bad as you described. New king pins and tie rod ends made a world of difference. Also adjusted worm gear in steering box. Just a few thoughts on what worked for me. Good luck

Tough to move during resto, but Daphne is growing up to be one gorgeous gal!

When you find out, please let me know! Been told the hand throttle spring connects to a tab mounted on the water inlet bolt closest to the firewall. This tab is supposedly the same as on the manifold bolt for that spring to the rod on the carb.
What is this?
